Welcome to Armstrong!
Located in the beautiful Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia, the small city of Armstrong is a strong agricultural community and a hotbed for tourism. Visitors fall in love with the city's Old West style and heritage buildings, its charming shops, delicious restaurants and, of course, its array of attractions and events. The Armstrong-Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery is a great place to start exploring the community with its historical displays and intriguing reproductons of a railway station, school house and other venues, as well as its showcase of vibrant work by talented local and regional artists. The town also boasts a wonderful performing arts scene with highlights including the professional outdoor theatre company Caravan Farm Theatre, which is based just outside of Armstrong on a small farm. Although no longer the site of the Armstrong Cheese Company, the area is still a magnet for cheese lovers. At the Village Cheese Company visitors can learn about cheese making on a factory tour and enjoy flavourful cheeses and fresh ice cream afterward. Tasty cheeses can also be bought at the popular Armstrong Farmers' Market, along with local produce, sausages, jams, breads, cakes and other foods. For more than 110 years Armstrong has been attracting visitors with its beloved Interior Provincial Exhibition and Stampede, which includes a rodeo, a midway, craft displays, live entertainment and other captivating events.Hotels & Motels
