Mud Lake Delta Provincial Park This park covers 500 ha (1235.5 acres) and protects an area covered with old-growth forest, floodplains, wetlands, beaver ponds and oxbow lakes. Blue River Black Spruce Provincial Park This conservation area is home to a diverse wetland habitat and rare species of black spruce. There are no day use facilities at this smaller (175 hectare) area, but enthusiasts of nature studies, fishing and canoeing may find the park enjoyable. North Thompson Oxbows Manteau Park This park's topography consists of floodplains, wetlands, oxbow lakes and sandbars, and is an important habitat for a number of fish and wildlife species including moose, grizzly bears, wolves, beavers, rainbow trout, bull trout and Rocky Mountain whitefish.
