In the Visual Arts Faculty, Studio and Art History courses explore practical aspects of art-making within the context of history of art and contemporary ideas about art and its role in society. They work closely with the Kamloops Art Gallery in sponsoring visiting artists program which includes lectures and workshops by artists from across Canada.

Grand Gallery
The Grand Gallery has a large collection of oil paintings, watercolours, pottery, glass and other works from regional artists. The gallery is located in the Grand Hotel and Convention Centre. Exhibits are updated regularily and some artists offer custom orders.

Founded in 1976, the gallery serves the central Okanagan Valley with a variety of exhibitions and education programs for all ages. The new 15,000 square foot facility, opened in 1996, offers three gallery spaces. The Treadgold/ Bullock Gallery, The Reynolds Gallery and the Rotary Courtyard. Built in 1937 as Salmon Arm's first post office, the gallery has been a public library, and since 1994, the Arts Centre permanent home for visual art exhibitions increasingly known throughout Western Canada.
