Welcome to Okanagan Falls!
Charming and scenic, the small town of Okanagan Falls is situated on the southern end of Skaha Lake in the Thompson Okanagan area of British Columbia. The town took its name from the Okanagan First Nations word “Skaha,” meaning “dog” and was once known as Dogtown. Skaha is also the name of the nearby lake. The town name was later changed to Okanagan Falls, derived from the former small set of the falls that once lied on the Okanagan River. Locals simply refer to the town as OK Falls. Founded on agriculture, Okanagan Falls is a provider of fresh fruits and vegetables. The area is also known for its wineries and their production of quality wines. A multitude of outdoor recreational activities can be enjoyed in the Okanagan Falls area, which is home to several parks. Christie Memorial Provincial Park is located on the south shoreline of Skaha Lake and is an ideal spot for a variety of watersports. Nature lovers will be impressed with the abundance of wildlife found in Okanagan Falls Provincial Park, which is also suitable for hiking, fishing, kayaking and many other outdoor pursuits.Hotels & Motels
