Locals have been known to say that in order to be a true Peachlander, one must climb Pincushion Mountain. The elevation at the starting gate of the park is 570 m (1875 ft). At the summit, the elevation is 815m (2682 ft). On average it takes about 40 to 60 minutes to reach the top, which is a distance of 1.2 km. Hiking boots and a walking stick are advised, as there are steep trails and footing can be slippery. Don't forget the camera!
