Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan (EECO Centre)
Visit the EECO Centre in the scenic setting of Mission Creek Regional Park. The Centre offers enviornmental exhibits and programs, children's activities and books, park and trail information and an environmental library.

Gibson Heritage House
Visit Gibson Heritage House in Kopje Regional Park and discover what life was like on an orchard homestead in the early 1900's. The house was built in 1912 and contains artifacts and local historical information from the 1910 - 1930 era. The house is located in a park on Okanagan Lake so bring a picnic and a swimsuit for swimming too!
Open Friday - Sunday from noon to 4 pm in June, July and August.

Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre
This First Nations cultural tourism experience offers interactive fun for the whole family. See the legends come alive in two multi-sensory theatre experiences, explore "Living Legends" outdoor exhibit and sculpture gallery, smell the wild sage along a network of walking trails and admire the view from the Chief's Lookout. Princeton Castle
The Princeton Castle is not really a castle but it resembles a medieval castle. Formerly the Portland Cement Plant, this site is a colossal architectural achievement builte during the early 1900s. Today, the site contains a resort that offers accommodations, casual and fine dining, and several outdoor activities.

Kingfisher Environmental Interpretive Centre

R.J. Haney Heritage Park & Museum
Take a guided walking tour of Salmon Arm's museum in Haney House, or guide yourself through the heritage buildings and nature trails. The tea room offers dinner theatre in July and August. The park is open from June to September daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

Historic Hat Creek Ranch

S.S. Sicamous
Retired as the Okanagan Lake ferry, this 1914 sternwheeler has been converted into a marine museum. Self-guided and guided tours. $4; kids eight to 12, $1; younger kids free. Bassett House
The Bassett House is an historic 1906 home originally ordered from Eaton's Catalogue. Located on its inceptive property in Okanagan Falls, the building has been refurbished and furnished to represent its original time period. The house is open to the public from July to September.

Historic O'Keefe Ranch
Come imagine life in the 1860s when Cornelius O'Keefe began cattle ranching. Visit some of the oldest remaining buildings in the valley, including a blacksmith shop, St. Anne's Church, general store and O'Keefe mansion. Baillie Property
Largely unchanged since the early 1900s, the historic Baillie Property consists of a house, barn, store, storage garage and heritage style garden. The former store on the property is now home to Merritt's Tourism Information Booth.

Father Pandosy's Mission
Founded on the site of the first mission in the Okanagan area. Restored remains of the mission, founded in 1859, can still be seen, as can the first apple orchard in the Okanagan, planted by Father Pandosy himself.

Guisachan Heritage Park
Stroll through Edwardian gardens, view 19th century artifacts, shop for gifts or enjoy fine dining (Guisichan House Restaurant reservations, 862-9368) at this historical site. Guisichan House was built in the Indian colonial bungalow style in 1891 for the Countess and Earl of Aberdeen, Governor-General of Canada from 1893 to 1896. The Grist Mill and Gardens
This area boasts a restored grist mill from the 19th century. There are also 11 campsites with water and electrical hookups. The gardens hosts a number of events throughout the year including a Farmer's Market on Sundays from 9am - 1pm, and a brunch from 10am - 2pm. Admission fees: $7 Adult, $6 Senior, $5 Youth, $3 Child. The summer house is open seven days a week from 9am - 5pm.
