Lake Country Museum tells the history of the communities within the district of Lake Country. With over 3000 artifacts, there is a wide variety of exhibits to interest all ages. Exhibits include: the wine industry, the orchard industry, ranching, 19th century home life, etc. Located in tranquil Okanagan Centre Park, the museum makes a perfect picnic destination.

Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park

Learn about life before European settlement at this site devoted to the history, culture and language of the Shuswap people. Ethnobotanical gardens exhibit traditionally used plants, and archaeological artifacts and house and canoe replicas are on display. A kilometre-long walking trail with interpretive signs goes through a wildlife marsh. Admission $6, or $4 each in a group. Open Jun. 1-Labour Day, Mon.-Fri. 8.30 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat.-Sun. 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Labour Day to mid-Dec. and early Jan.-May 30, weekdays 8.30 a.m.-4.30 p.m.
